Shayla Broughton, a senior at Mississippi State, won the women's pentathlon with a personal-best 4,122 points at the Razorback Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Broughton ran 8.43 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, cleared 5-7.25 (1.71m) in the high jump, produced a 40-4 (12.29m) effort in the shot put, achieved a personal-best 20-3 (6.17m) in the long jump and ran 2:34.24 in the 800 meters to surpass her previous-best 4,090 points from the Music City Challenge last year at Vanderbilt.
